About Strattera 10mg

Strattera® 10mg by Eli Lilly is the starting dose of atomoxetine — the only FDA-approved non-stimulant medication for ADHD. The white/white capsule is imprinted Lilly 3227 10mg. Unlike stimulants, Strattera works as a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) and is not a controlled substance. It does not have abuse potential and is suitable for patients with a history of substance abuse or those who cannot tolerate stimulants.

Strattera takes 4–6 weeks to reach full therapeutic effect and is dosed once daily. It provides 24-hour coverage.

Dosage

Children: Start 0.5mg/kg/day, titrate to 1.2mg/kg/day. Adults: Start 40mg/day, increase to 80–100mg/day. Prescription required.
