About Vyvanse 10mg

Vyvanse® 10mg (lisdexamfetamine dimesylate) is the lowest available dose, manufactured by Takeda. The blue and white capsule with imprint S489 10 mg is a prodrug that is converted in the body to active d-amphetamine after oral ingestion, providing gradual onset and extended coverage up to 14 hours. The prodrug mechanism reduces abuse potential compared to standard amphetamine formulations.

Vyvanse is FDA-approved for ADHD in children 6+ and adults, and also for moderate-to-severe Binge Eating Disorder in adults. The 10mg dose is the recommended starting dose for children aged 6–12 and for patients new to stimulant therapy.

Dosage

Start at 10mg once daily in the morning. Increase in 10–20mg increments at weekly intervals. Maximum 70mg/day. Capsule may be opened and dissolved in water. Prescription required.
